Enriched Air diver
Have you ever heard of nitrox or enriched air? Ever wondered what
that was all about? Perhaps you find it annoying that your dives are
limited by short no decompression time. Wouldn't it be nice to extend
your bottom time safely?
In essence, nitrox is any breathing gas where the percentage of
oxygen has been altered in the gas mix. With elevated oxygen, you can
reduce the amount of nitrogen that is absorbed in your body during a
dive (compared to plain compressed air). This can give you more no
decompression dive time during your dive and it can accelerate the
off-gassing of nitrogen during your safety stops.
Prerequisites
- 15 years of age or older
- Open Water rating or higher
Program Description
- We cover enriched air compatible equipment, gear markings,
tank filling and analysis, air equivalency and using 36% and 32%
enriched air tables.
- There will be 2 check-out dives using enriched air.
Course Cost
- $199.99 per person includes the airfills for the dives, a
classroom session, 2 ocean dives, and the TDI
certification.
